Thank you for your generous support of my education. Thanks to you, I will be able to achieve my dream of bringing clean, sustainable energy to developing countries. I have always had a desire to help people, and when I went on a mission trip to Honduras two years ago, I saw a need I never knew existed. While we were eating, the power went out. This was a major issue because we could no longer power the well that brought us safe drinking water. According to one of my supervisors who has lived in Honduras for many years, this happens frequently because there is not enough electricity in the country for everyone. The loss of access to water, food, and other basic human necessities is not something that should be happening in the 21st century, and the lack of electricity is often at the center of it. Thanks to you, I will be able to earn my double degree in electrical engineering and Spanish without breaking the bank. By not having many student loans to pay back, I don’t have to worry about the size of my paycheck but rather the size of my impact. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you. – Micayla Goyne
