This scholarship represents more than a financial contribution (without which I would not have been able to set foot in these halls.) In the ethos of Fred Kummer is a reminder that hard work fosters success in the face of hardship and modest origins. I have been gifted an example by which to measure my expectations. I only hope that I too will someday come to embody this awesome legacy.
